Purdue revealed its uniforms for Saturday’s contest against Illinois Thursday afternoon on Twitter.
The uniforms step away from the traditional uniforms and feature an all-white jersey-pant combo with black helmets and a white “P” rather the traditional gold.
The black lid is a nice contrast to the rest of the combination with a particularly clean look prepared for the matchup vs. Illinois:

The Boilermakers are hoping the change in threads will give them the confidence they need as they take on Illinois, who has had a hot season so far.
Purdue has had a shaky season, losing back-to-back games against Wisconsin and Iowa. The Boilermakers still have a chance to make the B1G Championship, but they will need to pick up an upset win over the Fighting Illini on Saturday.
After winning 5 straight, Illinois was upset last week by Michigan State. The Fighting Illini are looking to get back on track on Saturday.
