Purdue reveals throwback helmets to be worn next season

Purdue will be switching it up this fall.
The Boilermakers revealed new helmets that the team will wear for homecoming this season on Twitter Sunday afternoon. It features Purdue’s signature gold and back with its mascot Purdue Pete, which dates back to the 1940’s.

The Boiler makers are looking to build off last season’s momentum of finishing with 9 wins for the first time since 2003. Purdue has not finished a season with 10 wins dating back to 1979.
The helmet will be donned at homecoming against Florida Atlantic on September 24.
