Purdue kicks off the 2021 season with a home matchup vs. Oregon State on Sept. 4 (7 p.m. EST/FS1). In advance of the home opener, Purdue has updated its mask policy.

Masks won’t be required for outdoor outdoor spaces and tailgate areas, but they are highly encouraged. Masks will be required for indoor spaces, such as the Shively Club level, Buchanan Club level and press box level. Masks are also required for restrooms, elevators, walkways, other gathering spaces, and the Purdue Team Store.

Purdue’s Jack Plummer and his younger brother Will are both starting quarterbacks for their respective teams. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Jack Plummer, a junior, passed for 938 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions during the 2020 shortened season. In 2019, Jack Plummer amassed 1,603 yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

Purdue is coming off a 2-4 record in the shortened 2020 season. Purdue is seeking its first winning season since 2017, which was its first year under Jeff Brohm.
