Purdue’s Jack Plummer and his younger brother will both be starting college QBs this weekend

The Plummer family will be well-represented under center this weekend. Purdue’s Jack Plummer and his brother, Arizona’s Will Plummer, will both be starting quarterbacks for their respective season openers.
There will be two Plummers quarterbacking teams on the opening weekend of college football.
Jack Plummer will be the opening starter for #Purdue. Younger brother Will is slated to be a co-starter at Arizona.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Jack Plummer, a junior, passed for 938 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions during the 2020 shortened season. In 2019, Jack Plummer amassed 1,603 yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
The 6-foot-1, 204-pound Will Plummer appeared in three games last season as a true freshman, including one start vs. Colorado. Will Plummer tallied over 6,800 yards and 58 touchdowns in high school.
Purdue kicks off the season with a home matchup vs. Oregon State on Sept. 4 (7 p.m. EST/FS1). Arizona begins 2021 with a home contest vs. BYU on Sept. 4 (10:30 p.m. EST/ESPN).
