Saturday is a big day in West Lafayette. Purdue will close out the regular season against in-state rival Indiana, also celebrating Senior Day for a handful of players taking part in their final game at Mackey Arena.

Friday, senior Sasha Stefanovic posted a heartfelt message to Purdue fans on Twitter. He’s hoping to end his career with the Boilermakers on a positive note in front of a sellout crowd.

“This place has been so special to me and has truly changed my life forever,” Stefanovic wrote. “We have so much more to accomplish and will do our best to do something others haven’t. Until then, I’m going to have some fun with the 14,000+ people tomorrow. Thanks for the memories, Mackey!”

Stefanovic has played in all 30 games for Purdue this season, averaging 11.2 points, 3.4 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game. He’s become somewhat of a 3-point specialist during his career with the Boilers, shooting 40% from deep for the year.

For his career, Stefanovic is averaging 7.7 points and 1.9 assists per game. He’s shooting better than 39% from deep over the last 4 seasons.

Purdue is looking to end a 2-game losing streak, falling to Michigan State and Wisconsin in back-to-back road contests. The Boilers are also looking for redemption after suffering a close loss to Indiana on the road back in January.

Purdue’s Senior Day game against the Hoosiers is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET with the game airing on ESPN.
