In addition to blowing out reigning national champion Villanova over the weekend and advancing to the Sweet Sixteen for the third time in three years, Purdue’s senior class set a new record.

With victories over Old Dominion and Villanova in the NCAA Tournament last week, Purdue’s senior class has been responsible for 108 career victories, most wins by a senior class in program history. The official Twitter account of Purdue Basketball tweeted out the accomplishment on Monday afternoon.

Purdue’s senior class has won at least 21 games each of the last four seasons and has played in the NCAA Tournament every year. It has also won two B1G regular season titles.

Last year, the Boilermakers set a program record by finishing the year 30-7, hitting the 30-win mark for the first time in history.

This season, Purdue is 25-9 and claimed a share of the B1G regular season title. The Boilermakers have a chance to increase the win total to 109 on Thursday as they take on Tennessee with a trip to the Elite Eight hanging in the balance.
