Quinn Nordin is looking to make an NFL roster after going undrafted, and the former Michigan kicker made a good impression in his preseason debut.

After going undrafted, Nordin signed with the New England Patriots with a shot to compete for the job in training camp and the preseason. In his first NFL action, Nordin came through, hitting three field goals.

Nordin’s fields goals came from 35, 40, and 50 yards out as he went a perfect 3-for-3 on field-goal tries. Here’s a look at his 50-yard kick:

Unfortunately, Nordin did have a miss on an extra-point attempt, going 1-for-2 on those tries. He finished the night with 10 total points.

Those made field goals had to feel especially good for Nordin after the way he finished his career at Michigan. During his final game, Nordin went 6-for-6 on extra-point attempts but missed all three of his field-goal tries. He went just 2-for-5 on field goals during the shortened 2020 season.

Distance has never been an issue for Nordin. He previously hit a 57-yard field goal in the Citrus Bowl and has three other makes from 50+ yards. Hopefully, he can hone in his accuracy and make the roster to start the regular season.
