Rakim Jarrett was mic’d up during Maryland’s practice and it was content gold for the Terrapins.
Maryland posted the video on its Twitter page and showed off more than 1 minute of Jarrett running routes and talking to his teammates. At the start of the video, Jarrett took part in the spoof of Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson’s “Broncos Country, let’s ride.” Jarrett put his own twist on Wilson’s viral video:
“Terp Nation, let’s ride. Terp Nation, let’s ride,” Jarrett said.

As the video continued, Jarrett went on to compare Maryland head coach Mike Locksley to Michael Jordan, and he played rock-paper-scissors with another teammate. As entertaining as Jarrett was in the video, Maryland wants Jarrett to be even more entertaining on the gridiron throughout the season as a wide receiver.
When Maryland suffered multiple season-ending injuries at the wide receiver position, Jarrett continued to be a mainstay for the offense. With Jeshaun Jones and Dontay Demus returning from separate injuries, Maryland is starting to build a solid group in 2022. In addition to Demus and Jones returning, the Terrapins added Florida transfer Jacob Copeland to the program.
With Jarrett, Jones, Demus, and Copeland, Maryland will have one of the best wide receiver rooms in the B1G. Expect a potent offense in Maryland for the 2022 season.
