Randy Wade discusses goal of parents as protest outside B1G headquarters gets underway

Randy Wade wants answers. The father of Ohio State star cornerback Shaun Wade hasn’t been too pleased with the lack of communication and transparency the B1G has provided in the 10 days since it decided to pull the plug on fall sports and football.

On Friday, parent groups from different teams across the conference began gathering outside the B1G headquarters early in the morning. Because the office is considered private property, the group had to move one block down the street to continue its protest, per Tony Gerdeman of Buckeye Scoop.

The goal of the protest? Wade says he wants parents from all 14 schools across the B1G to be able to have a conversation (via Zoom) with commissioner Kevin Warren to explain the league’s decision. He also wants answers to how the conference plans to play football in the spring, as he believes the same issues the conference used to delay the season will still be lingering in January and February.
