Larry Johnson has seen a lot of players in his 9 years of coaching at Ohio State. He mentioned how much potential Michael Hall Jr. has per Griffin Strom of Eleven Warriors.
Johnson has really liked what he’s seen from Hall in camp so far. He has been impressed with how much bigger and stronger Hall has gotten, as well as his athleticism and quickness.
“He’s had a great camp,” said Johnson. “He’s had a great camp for us, he really has. He’s come out, he’s really gotten stronger and he’s gotten bigger. He’s fast, he’s athletic and we’re hoping for great things for Mike, we really are.”
Hall’s greatest asset is his ability to rush the passer, according to Johnson. The 2nd-year DT has appeared in 4 games for the Buckeyes. We’ll see how much production Ohio State can get from Hall this season.
“I think his biggest asset is he can rush the passer. I mean he’s really got quick hands, quick body,” said Johnson. “So we’ve got to plan how we’re going to use him, but I think he has a little bit of (DaVon Hamilton and Tommy Togiai in him). But he also brings some pass rush technique that I think is critical.”
