The start of the B1G season isn’t for another two weeks, but when teams take the field on Oct. 24, there’s one running back that FOX college football analyst Reggie Bush is going to keep an eye on this fall. Penn State’s Journey Brown.

Brown is the returning leading rusher for the Nittany Lions from the 2019 season, racking up 890 yards and 12 touchdowns on 129 carries last season. He was a big reason Penn State finished the season with an 11-2 record, with the only losses coming to ranked opponents Minnesota and Ohio State on the road.

Even though Penn State has a loaded running back room entering the 2020 campaign, Bush says he’s interested to see what Brown can do on the field this fall.

“I’m excited to watch Journey Brown,” Bush said on FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff. “I think the world of him. I think he’s going to have a great season this year. I want to see Penn State get him involved early and often each and every week.”

Penn State’s running back room is considered one of the best in the B1G heading into the 2020 season. Behind Brown are Noah Cain and Devyn Ford, who combined for 737 yards and 11 touchdowns last year.

But Brown is expected to carry a heavy workload again and be the leader out of the backfield. For Penn State to challenge Ohio State in the B1G East, Brown will need to be effective again this fall.

The Nittany Lions open the season on the road against Indiana on Oct.24.
