Reggie Powers, 4-star safety out of Ohio, announces B1G commitment

Reggie Powers, a 4-star safety out of Dayton, Ohio (Centerville), has announced a commitment to play in the B1G.
Powers on Wednesday committed to Michigan State after a finalist group that included Pitt, Ohio State, Cincinnati and Northwestern. Powers is listed at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, and has a reported 29 offers. He’s ranked the No. 57 safety in the country, and the No. 19 player in the state of Ohio, according to the 247Sports Composite. He was recruited to Michigan State by Harlon Barnett.
Powers visited Michigan State last weekend, and subsequently called off official visits to home state schools Ohio State and Cincinnati.
He’s the fourth commit in the Spartans’ 2024 class, and second defensive back in the mix after Jaylen Thompson out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
