Nebraska will reportedly lock down another commitment on Friday, as four-star wide receiver Zavier Betts is expected to sign his National Letter of Intent at week’s end, according to the Omaha World-Herald.
The Omaha World-Herald is reporting that Betts has been “working to get academically qualified for some time,” and he’s now in position where Nebraska feels comfortable enough to allow him to sign. His signature will hit the dotted line on the last day of the Early Signing Period for the 2020 class.
This year’s Early Signing Period started on Wednesday.
Betts is a four-star receiver from Bellevue and is the highest-ranked recruit from Nebraska. He’s been committed to the Huskers since April 2019.
Per 247Sports, Betts ranks as the No. 21 wide receiver in the 2020 class and is No. 107 overall. He is one of 10 players currently committed in the Huskers’ 2020 class to be ranked as a four-star recruit.
Nebraska currently sits with the fourth-best class in the B1G and ranks 20th nationally. Securing Betts’ commitment would be another great addition for Scott Frost and company.
