Report: All 14 B1G ADs were in favor of playing football this fall

Just when you thought the B1G situation couldn’t get any messier, a new behind-the-scenes bit of information suggests otherwise.
In a column published by Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald, Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos said that every B1G AD was on the same page about playing football in the fall. That is, they all wanted to press forward with a season.
Moos said some athletic directors — Gene Smith (Ohio State), Sandy Barbour (Penn State), Warde Manuel (Michigan), and Moos himself — pushed harder than others. However, he also stated that commissioner Kevin Warren knew that all 14 ADs were wanting to move forward with a fall schedule, at least for the time being.
“[Warren] knew where we were coming from, and he was the messenger to the presidents and chancellors,” Moos said, per McKewon.
Moos indicated that there wasn’t much communication between Warren, the B1G presidents and the athletic directors during the decision-making process — something he hopes will change in the future.
“I knew where our people stood, but I would have liked to have been in the room when they expressed it to the commissioner and our presidents and chancellors,” Moos said. “The commissioner was operating in silos, and the silos weren’t connected. And, in the end, that created varying degrees of communication not being delivered.
The B1G was the first Power 5 league to pull the plug on a fall football season, followed shortly after by the Pac-12. The MAC and Mountain West conferences have also backed out, leaving six conferences still pushing forward.
