Indecent assaults at Penn State football’s Lasch Building have been reported to campus police, according to a report from PennLive.com.
An email was sent to students on Thursday evening, informing them of a “known student allegedly inappropriately touching other students.” The message came as a “timely warning” email.
According to PennLive.com, the assaults occurred between January 6, 2018 and April 11, 2019. Penn State University and the police have not commented further on the situation while the investigation is ongoing.
The “known student” was not named by Penn State, campus police or in the email sent to students.
Penn State Athletic Director Sandy Barbour provided a brief comment on the situation when asked on Friday.
“Very aware [of the alleged assaults], it’s being handled by the university, it’s been turned over as a clearing report and we certainly take it very seriously,” Barbour said.
News of the alleged indecent assaults comes prior to Saturday’s annual Blue-White game for Penn State’s football team, scheduled for 3 p.m. ET at Beaver Stadium.
