A third member of Nebraska’s 2020 recruiting class has decided to enter the transfer portal before taking a snap with the Huskers.
Inside linebacker Keyshawn Greene has decided to explore options outside of Lincoln to continue his football career, according to a report from Sean Callahan of Husker Online. The Florida native joins Jaiden Francois and Henry Gray — also both from Florida — to enter the portal.
All three have left throw program since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States, forcing operations to shut down across the B1G and the country. Greene had just arrived in Lincoln in June.
Greene was a huge addition to Nebraska’s 2020 class, ranking as the No. 133 overall prospect and the No. 8 outside linebacker. He was sure to add talent and depth to the Huskers linebacker corps, which has struggled in recent seasons.
Greene was a 4-star prospect, according to 247Sports. He initially picked Nebraska over Miami (FL), Florida, Florida State, Louisville, UCF and others.
Nebraska’s 2020 recruiting class ranked 20th nationally and 4th in the B1G.
