Report: B1G basketball teams schedule ‘secret scrimmages’

Stringent rules are in place with respect to scrimmaging and practices for all the NCAA basketball teams, so there are what are called the “not-so secret scrimmages” that nearly everyone does.

Now that we’re a little less than a month until college hoops get rolling, the list has been released of who will be playing and when, and some games teams will be taking to the floor as soon as this weekend.
The B1G is among the conferences included in the recent list, and the games on the slate are as follows:
Illinois – None
Indiana – 10/17 vs. Cincinnati; 10/30 vs. Belmont in Louisville
Iowa – 10/23 vs. Bradley
Maryland – 10/16 at Pittsburgh
Michigan – 10/31 at DePaul
Michigan State – None
Minnesota – 10/23 at Oklahoma
Nebraska – 10/31 vs. Colorado (COVID-19 relief exhibition)
Northwestern – 10/30 vs. Iowa State in Davenport, Iowa
Ohio State – 10/24 vs. Ole Miss in Nashville
Penn State – 10/23 at George Mason; 10/30 vs. Duquesne
Purdue – 10/30 at Providence
Rutgers – 10/17 at Villanova
Wisconsin – 10/23 vs. Loyola Chicago at UW-Whitewater
