Now that spring football is coming to a close, the premier event of the offseason becomes B1G Media Days. The start of “talkin’ season” is still a few months away, but it sounds like the conference is settling on a site for the event.
Per Gold & Black Illustrated’s Tom Dienhart, the B1G plans to return to Indianapolis for 2022 B1G Media Days. It is expected to be held at Lucas Oil Stadium — also the site of the B1G Championship Game.
This would mark the second-straight year in which B1G Media Days were held at Lucas Oil Stadium. It was also held in the building in 2021, creating more space because of COVID-19 concerns.
Hearing from multiple sources that Big Ten football media days again will be held in Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium. It was a good experience in 2021 and may be the model moving forward. COVID restrictions in Chicago forced the move last year.

B1G Media Days was canceled in 2020 because of the pandemic.
Previously, B1G Media Days had been held in Chicago, traditionally at the Chicago Marriott Downtown. It was last held there in 2019.
B1G Media Days is traditionally a two-day event, often held on a Thursday and Friday in July. More details have yet to be released on this year’s plan.
