Report: B1G program one of several Power 5 teams to reach out to IU’s Khristian Lander

Former 5-star prospect and Indiana freshman Khristian Lander hasn’t been in the NCAA transfer portal very long, but he’s already receiving plenty of correspondence from other college basketball programs.
According to a report, Lander has already heard from at least one school in the B1G — Nebraska. Other interested programs have included NC State, Florida, and Pitt. The guard has been at IU just one season and entered his name into the database after the Hoosiers made a coaching change.
Lander is one of six players from Indiana to enter the transfer portal. Al Durham has already committed to play at Providence. Race Thompson, Jordan Geronimo, Parker Stewart and Armaan Franklin are still considering their options.

Lander was initially a 5-star member of the 2021 recruiting class but reclassified and arrived in Bloomington for the 2020-21 season. He was still considered one of the most elite players of the cycle.
In his first season with the Hoosiers, Lander played in 26 games and averaged 10.2 minutes per contest. He also averaged 2.1 points and 1.2 assists. Indiana ended the season with a 12-15 record, missing the NCAA Tournament once again.
The program fired Miller after four seasons and hired Mike Woodson a few weeks later. Lander has not commented on whether he’ll return to Indiana next season or not.
Nebraska is in the market for talented playmakers after a 7-20 campaign this year.
