Report: B1G Return to Competition Task Force preparing presentation for safe return to play

The B1G Return to Competition Task Force is reportedly working on a presentation that outlines a safe plan to resume fall sports in 2020. It’s expected to make its pitch in the coming days.
Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel reported on Friday that the task force was working on the presentation, and that there could be a vote among presidents and chancellors in the B1G if all areas of concerns are properly addressed. However, there is no guarantee that a re-vote will occur.
“If the medical standards aren’t where they need to be — tests, contact tracing and myocarditis — there will be no vote,” Thamel reported.

The B1G has come under fire for its decision to postpone the fall football season on Aug. 11 — primarily for its lack of transparency and communication during the process. Players, coaches and parents have been demanding responses to their questions, but most presidents and commissioner Kevin Warren have ignored the pleas.
Because of that, there’s been protests led by parents demanding answers. Players and coaches have made their cases to reinstate the season, but the conference does not appear to be changing its decision.
What a potential target date could be, if a vote to resume play goes through, is still unknown.
