An Ohio State-themed cruised devoted to raising money for cancer research raised over $4 million this year, according to a report from Eleven Warriors.

On Friday, Eleven Warriors reported that the 13th voyage of the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer raised over $4 million for cancer research. While the official number is still not quite yet known, the total did surpass last year’s $3.25 million that was raised for the cause.

The total is expected to be a record-high by nearly $1 million.

Eleven Warriors reported that attendees on the 2020 edition of the cruise had the opportunity to have meet-and-greets with Buckeye greats like Urban Meyer, J.T. Barrett, Kirk Herbstreit, Ezekiel Elliott, Terry McLaurin and Raekwon McMillan. Country star Darius Rucker also performed a concert on the cruise.

Proceeds from the cruise benefit the Urban & SHelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research and The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
