Report: Carsen Edwards inks 4-year deal with Boston Celtics

After an outstanding showing during the NBA Summer League, former Purdue star Carsen Edwards as reportedly landed a deal with the Boston Celtics.
Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe reported on Friday night that Edwards and the Celtics have agreed to a four-year contract deal, guaranteeing the former Boilermaker $4.5 million in salary. The first three years are guaranteed with the fourth being a team option.
According to a league source the Celtics and 2nd round pick Carsen Edwards have come to terms on a guaranteed contract.

Edwards has been sensational during Summer League play, averaging 18 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in four games. He’s also averaging more than 23 minutes per game and has helped the Celtics to a 4-0 record.
Edwards’ draft stock skyrocketed after his NCAA Tournament run, scoring a career-high 42 points in two different games and rattling home more than 25 points in all four of Purdue’s games. He finished the 2018-19 season averaging 24.3 points per game to lead the B1G.
The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Edwards early in the second round of the 2019 NBA with the No. 33 pick. Edwards was acquired by the Celtics via trade.
