One of the staples of the college basketball season is the B1G-ACC Challenge. It gives both conferences an opportunity to prove their league is the most dominant in the sport, and own a full year’s worth of bragging rights.

With the COVID-19 pandemic still impeding on college athletics, there’s been some question as to whether or not the annual challenge featuring the two leagues will move forward in 2020. As of right now, it’s still on.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported on Wednesday that the B1G-ACC Challenge is “moving forward with the plan that it will be played on campus [sites].” The dates for the annual college basketball event are targeted at Dec. 8 and Dec. 9.

Matchups have not been announced at this time.

Last year, the B1G took down the ACC narrowly with an 8-6 victory. The eight winners from the B1G last season were Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue.

If the B1G-ACC Challenge hits those target dates, it would be scheduled the week of Rivalry Week in the B1G’s football season.
