Report: Chris Webber parts ways with TNT, will not be part of broadcast team for NBA playoffs

Chris Webber has long been on TNT’s A-Team for NBA broadcasts, but that tenure has reportedly come to an end.
That’s according to the New York Post’s Andrew Marchand, who notes the breakup comes just before the start of the NBA playoffs.
Marchand says Webber’s contract was coming to an end and neither party was aggressive in seeking an extension.
According to the report, Reggie Miller and Grant Hill are two possibilities to replace Webber.
Webber originally joined TNT following his note-worthy playing career. After playing for Michigan as a member of the Fab Five, Webber went on to play 15 seasons in the NBA for the Warriors, Wizards, Kings, 76ers and Pistons.
Most of his tenure was with the Sacramento Kings. There, he made four All-Star games and led the franchise to the 2002 Western Conference Finals. He retired following the 2008 season, and joined TNT soon after.
It’s currently unclear whether Webber will try to continue his broadcasting career with another network or move on to a new path.
