Report: Ex-Michigan and Arkansas QB arrested on DWI charges

Former Michigan and Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett has been arrested under suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to a report from MLive.com. The arrest was made in Arkansas on Tuesday morning.

Per the report, Mallett was arrested following a crash that involved two vehicles.

Mallett spent one season at Michigan, playing for the Wolverines under Lloyd Carr in 2007. He appeared in 11 while in Ann Arbor, making three starts. He threw for 892 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions.

After the season, Carr retired and Michigan hired Rich Rodriguez. Mallett decided to leave the program and transferred to Arkansas. He went on to be the starter for the Razorbacks in 2009 and 2010, throwing for over 3,500 yards 30-plus touchdowns in each season.

When his college career came to an end, Mallett threw for 8,385 yards and 69 touchdowns. He was a third-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, selected by the New England Patriots.
