Longtime B1G offensive line coach Matt Limegrover is expected to join Jim Harbaugh and Michigan in an analyst role ahead of the 2020 season.

Bruce Feldman of The Athletic is reporting that Limegrover is expected to be named a senior analyst at Michigan. He spent the last four seasons on James Franklin’s staff at Penn State as the offensive line coach. The two parties split following the 2019 season.

Prior to his time at Penn State, Limegrover was with Jerry Kill at Minnesota from 2011-15, working as an assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. He was fired at the end of the 2015 season, when Tracy Claeys was named the next head coach of the Golden Gophers.

Limegrover has been on the sidelines for nearly 30 years now, getting his coaching start in 1991 at Chicago. He’s also had stops at Northwestern, Ferris State, Emporia State, Southern Illinois and Northern Illinois, mostly on Kill’s staff.

Michigan finished the 2019 season with a 9-4 record.
