Report: FCS power reaches out to Nebraska, discussing fall football matchup

Nebraska’s relentless attempt to play football games in the fall might be paying off.
On Wednesday, Jeff Kolpack of inforum.com reported that North Dakota State, a power at the FCS level, has reached out to Nebraska about scheduling a game. And yes, they’re looking at playing in the fall.
Parker Gabriel of the Lincoln Journal Star was able to confirm the report.
Both teams are reportedly looking at scheduling a game to in Lincoln. A potential date was not mentioned and not many details were provided in the report.
Nebraska has made it clear that it wanted to continue to pursue the opportunity to play football games this fall, even though the B1G announced it was postponing its season. Ohio State has made similar remarks over the last few days.
Will that persistence pay off? At the very least, the Huskers have some interest, and it’s coming from a regular national championship program at the FCS level.
