Report: Former Badgers LB involved in trade to Pittsburgh Steelers
By Paul Harvey
Published:
One former Badger is on the move in the NFL, reportedly going from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Pittsburgh Steelers via trade.
The player is Joe Schobert, a linebacker who spent the 2020 season with the Jaguars after beginning his career with the Cleveland Browns. He posted 141 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 3 interceptions, and 2.5 sacks.
The reported trade comes just one year removed from Schobert signing a five-year deal with Jacksonville. Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network reported the trade while Schobert’s wife, Megan, hinted at the deal on Twitter:
The #Jaguars have agreed to trade veteran LB Joe Schobert to the #Steelers, source said.
First on the story: @meganschobert, who probably has pretty good sources herself.
