Report: Former Buckeye Terrelle Pryor making progress following Friday night stabbing

Hours before they kicked off against the No. 13 Michigan Wolverines on Saturday at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes and their fan base received some surprising news about one of the program’s most prolific players of the 21st century.
First reported by WTAE (Pittsburgh), former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor was stabbed on Friday night at the Heinz Lofts apartment complex in the city.
Initially listed as being in critical condition, it appears Pryor’s condition has taken a turn for the positive.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared the latest information on Twitter:
Former NFL WR Terrelle Pryor, in a hospital after being stabbed while at a Pittsburgh apartment last night, is currently in stable condition, source said. Progress.

One of the most sought-after recruits of the last 15 years, Pryor is originally from Jeannette, Pennsylvania, about 28 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
Committing to then-head coach Jim Tressel and the Buckeyes over Michigan and the Oregon Ducks, he completed 60.9% of his passes for 6,177 yards, 57 touchdowns and 26 interceptions during his three years in Columbus (2008-10). Also a threat with his legs, Pryor added another 2,164 yards and 17 scores on the ground.
Currently an NFL free agent, the 30-year-old was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 2011 Supplemental Draft following his abrupt exit from Ohio State.
Making the full-time conversion to wide receiver with the Cleveland Browns in 2015, Pryor has played seven seasons in the league with the Raiders (2011-13), Browns (2015-16), Washington Redskins (2017), New York Jets (2018) and Buffalo Bills (2018).
Pryor signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on May 30, but was placed on season-ending injured reserve on August 31 and waived on September 3.
