Report: Former Indiana forward Juwan Morgan inks undrafted free agent deal with NBA team

A former Indiana forward and fan favorite will have the opportunity to prove he belongs on an NBA roster.
On Friday, Michael Scotto of The Athletic reported that Juwan Morgan has agreed to an undrafted free agent contract with the Utah Jazz. The report came one day after the former Hoosier went unselected in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Morgan’s deal likely means he will play with the Jazz’s Summer League team, with games scheduled to begin in July. From there, Morgan will have a chance to showcase his talents and prove that he deserves a roster spot at the professional level.

Morgan was a four-year player at Indiana, appearing in 128 career games for the Hoosiers. For his career, he averaged 10.7 points and 5.9 rebounds while in Bloomington. Last season, he proved to be a do-it-all player, averaging 15.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game.
He finished the year with eight double-doubles and one triple-double. He dropped a season-high 35 points in Indiana’s thrilling 71-68 win over Butler, as well.
Indiana saw one player drafted on Thursday night, with freshman Romeo Langford being selected by the Boston Celtics with the No. 14 overall pick.
