After going through the appeal process, the NCAA has decided to grant former Maryland defensive back Qwuantrezz Knight immediate eligibility for the 2019 season at Kent State.
ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg reported on Wednesday that Knight was granted an immediate eligibility waiver from the NCAA. His initial request was denied but he won the appeal.

Knight played in 26 career games at Maryland, but appeared in only four contests last fall. He leaves College Park with 45 tackles and 1.5 stops for loss. Last season, he tallied five tackles, one for loss.
Knight joins a Kent State program that finished the 2018 season with a 2-10 record. The Golden Flashes open the 2019 campaign on Aug. 29 against Arizona State.
