Fans waiting to get their first taste of Melvin Gordon this season will not have to wait much longer.

The former star running back for the Wisconsin Badgers entered 2019 as a holdout of the Los Angeles Chargers. Gordon was hoping to obtain a new deal, but unlike Ezekiel Elliott, it does not appear he will get one.

According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, Gordon is planning to report to the Chargers on Thursday. He will not be playing in Week 4, but he will be back with his teammates and moving forward with the team.

Gordon has over 5,000 yards from scrimmage in four seasons with the Chargers. He finished his Wisconsin career with 4,915 yards rushing and ranks third on the school’s all-time rushing list.
