The Sacramento Kings and free-agent Frank Kaminsky have agreed to a one-year deal, according to Kaminsky’s agent Kevin Bradbury of BDA Sports.

Last week the Phoenix Suns declined Kaminsky’s $5.2 million team option.

The Kings lost Harry Giles and Alex Len to free agency, and the pick up of Kaminsky shores up their frontcourt rotation. In addition to Kaminsky, Sacramento agreed to a one-year deal with center Hassan Whiteside.

Kaminsky, the former Wisconsin standout and 2015 National College Player of the Year averaged 9.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists during 39 games last season with the Suns.

The 7-footer was drafted ninth overall by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2015 draft, and has career averages of 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 321 games over five seasons.
