Greg Schiano’s time in Columbus has apparently come to an end.

The former Ohio State defensive coordinator is expected to take the same job in New England, replacing Matt Patricia, who is leaving to take the head coaching position in Detriot.

News of Schiano’s departure was first reported by Football Scoop. Schiano served as Ohio State defensive coordinator for two seasons. He was nearly hired as head coach of Tennessee by former UT AD John Currie but that deal fell thru after word leaked and the Volunteer fan base revolted.

Prior to his time in Columbus, Schiano was Tampa Bay’s head coach from 2012-13.
