Both of Indiana’s top two quarterbacks will be unavailable for Saturday’s game vs. Maryland.
Saturday morning, Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star reported that Michael Penix Jr. will be out of the game and backup Jack Tuttle did not make the trip to College Park. Both quarterbacks have battled injuries recently.
That means IU will have to rely on Donaven McCulley or Grant Gremel under center against the Terrapins. It’s going to be a pretty tall order on the road in Week 9 for both.

Apparently Tuttle did not travel. So it’s McCulley and Gremel for IU today. #iufb

Indiana’s offense has sputtered all season long, scoring just 28 points in four B1G games this year. The Hoosiers are still searching for their first conference win and enter the game against the Terrapins at 2-5.
Maryland currently sits at 4-3 on the season.
