Ohio State will reportedly be short-handed for its Round 1 matchup against Oral Roberts on Friday.

Jeff Goodman of Stadium reported that Kyle Young, who suffered a concussion in the quarterfinal round of the B1G Tournament, is still out for the Buckeyes. This will mark the third straight game the senior forward has missed because of the head injury.

Young suffered the injury after taking an inadvertent elbow to the head from Purdue’s Trevion Williams in the second half of the B1G Tournament quarterfinal game. He has not stepped back on the floor since then.

Young has been a consistent scorer and rebounder for Ohio State this season, brining a physical style of play to floor. He’s averaging 8.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest. It’s unclear when he’ll be able to return for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State earned a No. 2 seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament after finishing with a 21-9 record. The Buckeyes were fifth in the B1G standings and made a run to the B1G Tournament title game, falling to Illinois in overtime.

Friday’s game against Oral Roberts is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET with coverage on CBS.
