A high-profile defensive back out of the SEC is going to be considering his options outside of Baton Rouge.
On Monday morning, Sam Spiegelman of Rivals.com reported that LSU cornerback Elias Ricks will enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal to explore opportunities outside the program. The news comes as LSU is in the market for a new head coach after parting ways with Ed Orgeron at the end of the year.
Ricks is a former 5-star recruit from the 2020 class. He was ranked as the No. 14 overall prospect in the cycle and the No. 2 cornerback, per 247Sports Composite.
