The landscape for the Peach Bowl for LSU and Oklahoma is turning into a very intriguing one.
For Oklahoma, news came down Wednesday that three players are reportedly suspended for the game vs LSU. That includes defensive lineman Ronnie Perkins, a pass-rusher who leads the Sooners in sacks.

Now, it is being reported that LSU is dealing with its own set of issues. A Wednesday afternoon report indicated that the leading rusher for the Tigers, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, was injured during Tuesday’s practice.
Ross Dellenger with SI Now indicated it was a hamstring injury for Edwards-Helaire. Brody Miller with The Athletic also reported that it was a non-contact injury that occurred during a juke move for the running back. LSU head coach Ed Orgeron is scheduled to meet with media later Wednesday evening.
Lots asking about #LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire today.
Sources confirm what was said on Baton Rouge radio today: Edwards-Helaire suffered a hamstring injury in practice yesterday. Severity unclear.
Ed Orgeron is set to meet with reporters tonight. 10 days until semifinal vs OU.

Can confirm Clyde Edwards-Helaire went down at practice yesterday. He was juking and went down without contact.
Ed Orgeron speaks at 5:25. We'll likely know more about the severity then. #LSU https://t.co/Nttj9T33DY

Edwards-Helaire led the Tigers and finished second in the SEC with 1,290 yards rushing. He had arguably his most important game in the win over Alabama with 180 yards from scrimmage and four total touchdowns.
If Edwards-Helaire is severely limited – or out altogether – it definitely hampers the LSU offense. Obviously, Heisman-winning QB Joe Burrow is the driving force of that offense, but Edwards-Helaire has been a crucial piece for the Tigers all season long.
