Report: Maryland to play in 2022 Hall of Fame Tip-Off at Mohegan Sun

The 2021 college basketball season hasn’t even started yet, but we reportedly know what tournament Maryland will play in next year.
The Terps are one of the headliners for the 2022 Hall of Fame Tip-Off at Mohegan Sun, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. Providence, Miami and Saint Louis are also reported to be among the tournament field.

No dates have been set for the 2022 Hall of Fame Tip-Off, per Rothstein’s report.
This year’s tournament is set for Nov. 20-21 at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Purdue is one of the four teams in the field, along with Villanova, Tennessee and North Carolina. It will be the first Hall of Fame Tip-Off in 2 years since last year’s was canceled due to COVID-19.
