Report: Michigan adds former Arizona OL coach to offensive staff

Michigan is adding another analyst to its staff.
The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman reported on Saturday that Jim Harbaugh has hired former Arizona offensive line coach Kyle DeVan as an offensive analyst. He spent the previous two seasons with the Wildcats before landing a gig with the Wolverines.
DeVan has been in coaching since 2015 when he was an assistant offensive line coach with the NFL’s New Orleans Saints. He then moved to Muncie, where he was named the offensive line coach at Ball State, a position he held from 2016-18.

Prior to his coaching days, DeVan enjoyed a five-year career in the NFL after leaving Oregon State. He had stops with the Washington Redskins, New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans.
DeVan appeared in 40 NFL games, making 26 starts, including one Super Bowl appearance with the Colts.
Michigan closed out the 2020 season with a 2-4 record. Harbaugh has made multiple changes to his staff during the offseason after signing a four-year contract extension to remain in charge in Ann Arbor.
