The number of healthy bodies in Michigan’s running back room continues to diminish.
During Michigan’s season opener against Middle Tennessee on Saturday, running back Tru Wilson suffered from a hand injury and left the game early. He will not return to the field in the second half, according to Aaron McMann of MLive.com.
Update, per U-M radio: Tarik Black needed fluid, presumably for dehydration. Tru Wilson (hand) will not be back.

Michigan entered the game thin at the running back position, essentially going by committee for the Week 1 matchup against Middle Tennessee. Along with Wilson, Zach Charbonnet and Christian Turner saw snaps out of the backfield.
Before leaving the game, Wilson took just one handoff for three yards.
Wilson rushed 62 times last season for 364 yards and a touchdown. He was expected to have a much bigger role in Michigan’s new-look offense this season. He still could see plenty of touches this year, it just won’t be against Middle Tennessee.
