Michigan State basketball just beefed up its non-conference schedule with a quality foe. Michigan State will host Notre Dame on Nov. 28, according to a report from South Bend Tribune reporter Tom Noie.
This will be the first time the two teams have squared off in a non-specially designated regular season game since 1975, according to Noie.

This contest is separate from the ACC-B1G challenge, which will see Notre Dame face Ohio State and Michigan State go against Virginia. Michigan State and Notre Dame have only played three times post-1975: the 1979 NCAA Tournament and in the ACC-B1G Challenge (2014, 2017).
Michigan State holds a 60-37 all-time edge in the series. Notre Dame is 25-23 in games at Michigan State. Michigan State has won three of the last four meetings.
Michigan State posted a 22-9 record and was in a three-way tie with Wisconsin and Maryland for the best record in B1G play for the 2019-20 season. Notre Dame finished with a 20-12 record and tied for sixth in the ACC with NC State and Syracuse last year.
