Report: Minnesota-Wisconsin game canceled due to COVID-19

Minnesota and Wisconsin, one of the best rivalries in college football, will not play this weekend due to COVID-19, according to a report.
That’s from Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Wisconsin has already had two games canceled due to COVID-19 this season.
This means the Badgers will play a maximum of five games this season and will likely be ineligible to play for the Big Ten Championship.
According to Stadium’s Brett McMurphy, the Gophers are the team with the COVID-19 issue.

Minnesota beat Purdue on Friday.
Northwestern will now need to win just one of its final three games to win the Big Ten West. The Wildcats face Michigan State, Minnesota and Illinois to close out the year.
This is the fifth Big Ten game of the season to be canceled due to the virus. Wisconsin and Maryland have each had two games called off.
Minnesota’s remaining opponents are Northwestern and Nebraska.
Wisconsin currently holds a 61-60-8 advantage in the all-time series. The Badgers won 37-15 last season.
