Just a few days after the B1G released a revised 10-game, conference-only schedule for the 2020 football season, a report indicates that there’s momentum building among the league’s school presidents to cancel fall sports.

Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel reported that B1G presidents are meeting on Saturday to discuss all options for fall sports, including football. He says that “all options” are on the table, which includes cancelling sports this fall.

The B1G released a new schedule for the 2020 college football season on Wednesday. However, commissioner Kevin Warren said there were still several obstacles ahead and that there were no guarantees of playing fall sports.

Thamel did state that it’s unclear whether or not there’s enough momentum to cancel fall sports, especially football, at this time.

On Saturday morning, the Brett McMurphy of Stadium reported that the MAC has opted to cancel fall sports and attempt to move football to the spring. It was the first major conference at the FBS level to take that leap.
