Report: Multiple Oklahoma football players suspended following alleged involvement in robbery

At least two Oklahoma football student-athletes have been suspended for their alleged involvement in a robbery. 247Sports reported the news on Saturday afternoon.
“We are aware of a matter that may involve OU student-athletes and are monitoring the situation closely,” a spokesman said, per 247Sports. “The student-athletes in question have been suspended pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation. We have no other information to share at this time.”
Per All Sooners, the two suspended players are sophomore wide receiver Trejan Bridges and freshman running back Seth McGowan. Authorities believe that three individuals were involved in the incident, but only two were believed to be members of the Oklahoma football team.

According to OUInsider.com’s Parker Thune, the Norman Police Department responded to reports of an alleged robbery involving firearms just around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night, near 2600 Classen Boulevard, per Capt. Brent Barbour. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found one person (the alleged victim) injured, but fortunately, they did not require hospitalization. Shortly after, officers were able to locate and detain a suspect for question in connection to the reported robbery.
No arrests were reportedly made.
Bridges has totaled 9 catches for 101 yards in his two seasons with the program. He had 2 receptions for 19 yards during the 2020 season. McGowan totaled 370 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on 58 carries last fall and also hauled in 13 catches for 201 yards and a score.
