Maurice Washington last appeared in a game at Nebraska on Oct. 12 against Minnesota. The team had a bye the weekend afterwards and Washington’s 2019 season concluded then.

The sophomore running back did not return to team activities after that loss to Minnesota and sources have said that he won’t return to the Huskers ever again:

Husker coach Scott Frost said he wanted to meet with Washington on Dec. 19 to “try to come to a little resolution on what is going to happen.”

The meeting — if it did happen — didn’t seem to go Washington’s way. The tailback from Stockton, California is still facing two criminal charges in a California court involving a sexually explicit video.

Washington, during his only two years at Nebraska, totaled 1,136 yards and seven touchdowns in 18 games.
