The report indicates that the December 21st bowl game that traditionally pits Mountain West Conference and Conference USA opponents will be moved to Texas. No further location information is available at this time.
Earlier in the season, the 2020 Holiday Bowl officially announced that this year’s game will be canceled due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. It marked the fourth bowl game this season that had been canceled, joining the RedBox Bowl, Bahamas Bowl, and the Hawaii Bowl.
The NCAA has waived its typical eligibility requirements for this season, which means that any of the 127 FBS teams can be bowl eligible. Now, it just remains to be seen how many bowls will be available in the postseason.
