A two-month investigation has resulted in Ohio State saying that a Cleveland-area massage therapist used the profession to seek sexual relationships with football players. Cleveland.com was one of many news outlets to report on the university’s public findings.
The investigation was conducted by the Barnes & Thornburg law firm and concluded that the actions by the massage therapist were “inappropriate and exploitative.” The individual’s license has been revoked.
Per the report, the individual is barred from stepping on Ohio State’s campus.
Additionally, Cleveland.com reports that athletic director Gene Smith said there were no NCAA violations committed related to the situation. The NCAA agreed with the determination that no violations occurred and Ohio State will not face any punishment or consequence.
The investigation lasted two months.
