Another member of Ohio State’s staff is headed to a different program.

Saturday, BleedTechBlue reported that Trey Holtz, son of Louisiana Tech head coach Skip Holtz, will be leaving Ohio State to join his father’s Bulldogs staff. He was a member of the Buckeyes’ staff for three seasons.

Holtz started at Ohio State as the assistant running backs coach in 2017 and moved to be the assistant tight ends coach in 2018. This was his first year as the team’s offensive graduate assistant. Holtz leaves Ohio State to become the inside wide receivers coach at Louisiana Tech.

Skip Holtz has been the head coach at Louisiana Tech for seven seasons and has enjoyed tremendous success. The Bulldogs have won nine games or more in four different seasons, and is coming off a 10-3 year, the program’s best of the Holtz era. Louisiana Tech has reached a bowl game in six consecutive seasons.
