Earlier this offseason, Ohio State made an interesting hire, luring former Washington State DC Alex Grinch away from the Cougars to serve as a defensive assistant under coordinator Greg Schiano.
Now, head coach Urban Meyer is adding even more experience to the defensive staff, bringing in yet another active defensive coordinator to coach the Buckeyes’ defensive backs.
According to FootballScoop.com, Ohio State will hire former Temple defensive coordinator Taver Johnson to replace Kerry Coombs, who left for the NFL:

Johnson has served as a linebackers coach at Arkansas and has a stop at Ohio State on his resume from the Jim Tressel days.
Now that the Buckeyes have a star-studded defensive coaching staff, it’ll be interesting to see if Ohio State can be even better on that side of the ball in 2018.
